Proudly Queensland born during Australia's pioneering days of tourism on the Gold Coast in the 1950's, and later educated in Victoria, Tony Edwards has held various senior regional aviation management roles, & is an executive of the Qantas group of some 14 years.
Tony Edwards has enjoyed a diverse professional career spanning more than 30 years, encompassing senior management roles in media, entertainment arts, sports management, sales and business marketing enterprises.
Following a passion for new adventures, he has held a number of board roles over the years covering media and entertainment arts organisations, and in the past 12 years has been actively involved in regional tourism development, including board roles in the Whitsundays and Outback Qld.
Tony presently sits on the board of the Qantas Founders Outback Museum, and is Chairman of Outback Queensland Tourism.
In his spare time, Tony's interests include travel and holiday adventures, collecting and playing guitars (badly) , restoring old sports cars (presently spending a lot of time under the bonnet of an ageing early Alfa Romeo Spider) and is a passionate Brisbane Lions AFL fan.
