Judging for the Queensland Tourism Awards is coordinated by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC). QTIC, the peak industry body for tourism in Queensland, is a private sector, membership-based organisation which, since 2001, has worked to influence and shape the state’s tourism business environment.

Access to industry workshops and one-on-one mentoring
- State judging
- National judging
- Meeting expenses
- Site inspections (more than 200 properties/businesses throughout Queensland are visited by judges)
- Administration expenses.
