Joe is a trained psychologist and business mentor with a research Master of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Policy and over twenty-five years experience in the tourism industry. He has owned several tourism businesses and has been in the Tourism Hall of Fame at the Regional (3) and State (1) levels and an Australian Tourism Awards winner twice. Joe has also won a national award in leisure/tourism for ‘innovative improvements for facility development and management’ with the Australian Leisure Institute and a Gold Award in Heritage Conservation with the National Trust of Queensland. He loves restoring old things and giving them new purpose and is presently enjoying working on himself.
Joe is currently a partner/director of the Noorla Heritage Resort, Ay Ot Lookout Conference Centre, Dreamtime Learning (Training), Platypus Wealth Institute and runs a weekly counselling and coaching clinic in Townsville. He is also a proud member of the Indigenous Employer Champions Network (QTIC).
